coming off a depot

Has anyone here successfully come off a depot?
I want to ask my psychiatrist if I can come off mine (Clopixol)
I just wondered what the process was, like do you reduce dose or frequency etc.

I don't know, I'm sorry. But it's great if you're feeling much more well and able to come off your medication.

I think it depends on the med and why you're coming off it. I have been on possibly 3 depots and some of them were reduced in dose and some of them were just stopped. Some were replaced with tablets for a while.

Definitely talk it through with your psychiatrist and ask all the questions you need answers to.
