I can't because it's time limited unfortunately. I'm going to try and stay at my mum and dad's and hope this passes.

That sounds like a good idea, I hope this passes for you soon.

Good plan. Use the support and safety of being around your Mum and Dad and also have some time to yourself if things get too 'New Years-y.'

I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.

Thanks. I'm feeling safer for now but feeling miserable so I've gone to bed.

Do you have people around you who can keep an eye you? I know it can feel like services are rubbish so I can't genuinely tell you to stick with them or not if that is the case. But you do need some kind of support.

Not really no. I have support workers but only 9 hours a week. I just feel so let down by services and think they make me feel worse.

Can you tell this to whoever is in charge of your care?

Would it be easier to write a note or email?

Yes it would but I think I'd be too embarrassed and would worry it could be misinterpreted.

Ah, that's the advantage of a note - you don't have to hand it over until you're satisfied with it.

I've tried doing that before and it hasn't ended well.

I got called in by the clinical manager who told me off and accused me of things.

I guess there were a few things in the letter I shouldn't have said but I apologised and they still treated me badly and didn't seem to care that I felt so let down by them.

Thanks I was hoping it would be different under a new team but it doesn't look like it will be

This may sound harsh, and I really don’t mean it to be...but if you’ve found it difficult with two teams, is it possible maybe you aren’t communicating with them what you need? Also...do you think you will manage without a team? And have you asked whether your support hours are funded by them? If they are then you may lose the support workers if you discharge yourself as wel. If you are on S117 then you may not even be able to discharge yourself. Just some things to consider. I hope you get appropriate. Support, whatever that may look like.
