Conflicted

Hey guys. I am in recovery from SH. I think I am actually done this time, yet I felt triggered today. I did the red finger paint thing to distract myself and then I took a long, hot shower. That seemed to help and I made it without cutting.
Oddly, I miss it. It hasn't even been that long since the last time.

Sounds like you are doing all the right things to try stop, which is excellent.

Is there anything else that can help? Are you under any stress or have anything worrying you that is causing the triggers? Although sometimes triggers come out of nowhere.

I understand that feeling of 'missing' self harm. Hopefully if you keep focusing on ways to allow the urges to pass you will get to a point where you don't think about self harm so much. Recognise your achievements with regards to this, you have already taken very positive steps.





I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.
