You say 'I don't want to recover until...'
Which means you WANT to recover, don't wait until it's too late lovely.
I don't think there is a 'normal'

I can empathise. I didn't want to get better until I got 'sick enough'.
But in my quest for thinness I realised I'd never be sick enough for the anorexic part of m mind.
Try not to fall into the trap of never being sick enough, becuase it will never happen. Choose recovery now.. you already *are* sick enough to deserve recovery.

As ThePrincessofDenial said, there is never a "sick enough" for anorexia. I can empathise very much too, but honestly, it's not worth it. However far things go, the eating disorder will always tell you it's not enough, you're not 'sick enough'.
Any eating disorder is 'sick enough' to need and deserve help.

Everyone is right, I feel/felt the same but there are always new 'goals' to meet & it will never ever be enough.

do you like my potato?

As everyone has said, you'll never feel sick enough. You'll always want to lose a little more weight, the goalposts will keep shifting. The more unwell you become the harder it will be to recover (not impossible) so please ask for help now, recover now.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…
you once called your brain a hard drive, well say hello to the virus.
