Diablo 3

What, no D3 thread yet? I'm disappoint.

I have it installing right now, so I will be back with updates as to how I am loving it.

I will most likely play through it the first time as a monk, both because I usually play monk-like characters in MMOs and D&D and because they look like they have the highest skill cap in the game.

If you're wondering, 'What is Diablo 3?' then I apologise for you living under a rock for the past five years. Now go buy the game and love it. LOVE IT.

I remember the days of pointing and slashing in D2. I heard this game requires a constant internet connection. Is this true?

Heard of it, looks good... Do you need the previous Diablo games to play? Is it an expansion?

Yes it does require an internet connection. That's because the game highly encourages cooperative play with friends (but it has features to make it fun if you're a lone wolf).

Nope you don't. You'll understand a bit more of what is going on from having played the previous games, but it isn't required. It's definitely not an expansion; it's a new game entirely.

T_________T noooooo

I have a couple free trials if anyone wants to try it. The trial will get you through the first boss of the game and that's it.

Demon Hunter looks like a lot of fun. My monk is level 36 now. I haven't started Nightmare mode yet because I wanted to try out Wizard. Wiz is really strong (maybe the best solo class to play). Someone has already beaten Inferno solo as a Wizard.

But anyway, monk is hella strong. I played through normal difficulty and could literally tank all monsters, even bosses! Just sat there punching the bosses to death and shrugging off all damage.
