Many of you will have noticed my lack of posting/presence over the last few weeks/ longer. I've been really busy as well as for a long time now I've found myself very distant from RYL and finding it a chore to come on here rather than wanting to. Due to this, some time ago I decided to make the decision that I was leaving RYL, not only the FA Team but the website as a whole. Due to this I will no longer be answering PMs asking for First Aid/ medical advice etc with immediate effect. Over the coming weeks I will still be in touch with the rest of the team if needs be and will be involved with changes necessary for me no longer being here.
Due to me no longer being on the team it means a reduction in the services we can offer as a team. Medication and OD advice can no longer be given and medical advice will be very much reduced. Really now the majority of the team will only be able to give basic wound care or ED advice, anything other than this needs to be directed to a health care professional in person no matter how hard this may be. We realise this may make things harder for you but it is for everyone's safety at the end of the day.
I will ensure the rules are changed with effect to this over the coming days.
I hope everyone is ok and anyone who feels they want to contact me about non-FA things feel free to however I may not be able to get back to you straight away.
Whilst I will miss you and this is a MASSIVE loss to RYL, I'm glad that you have made the decision to leave as I think this is best for you.
I have exhausted the search function on RYL and cannot find a definitive answer but I would estimate that you have posted 5000+ replies to first aid threads since you joined this site, and that's not counting the many PMs you have responded to and the time put into recruiting, training and managing other FA team members. You have given so much to this site and deserve so much gratitude from the hundreds of members you have advised, so thank you.

That's a lot! It's been what over 7yrs since I joined the team. Things have changed a lot in that time, the team, RYL, the members on here and of course, my life. I would hate to think the number of hrs I've spent on here/ doing stuff for on here. At times it's been great, at other not so.
Things are fine with me, I'm just busy and stressed and stuff, nothing new there. I've been pushing myself to pretty much the max with work and it's lead to a few problems and things have had to give.
I will miss this place but right now it's for the best... I think. It's been a long time in the coming anyway.
Kim, you are amazing :)
All the best and thanks for being ace

There are, it has been said, two types of people in the world. There are those who, when presented with a glass that is exactly half full, say: 'This glass is half full'. And then there are those who say: 'This glass is half empty'.
The world belongs, however, to those who can look at the glass and say: 'What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

Best wishes. Like everyone said you have done so much for the forum.
