The bad man
There is a bad man,
Out on the prowl,
Fresh meat, new blood
That will sicken your stomach
and make you scowl.
He goes by many names,
Peter, John, Richard, Paul or Doug,
Or was it
Arthur, Stephen, Nick or Harry.
There is a bad man,
Though I don’t know what he looks like exactly,
But I’ve been told he can be
Black/white, Fit or Thick, Short or Long hair
and can be either rich or poor,
He hides his badness
deep under cover,
Like a real macho man,
Well behind closed doors.
There is a bad man,
Living in the city, living in the town,
This bad man likes to move around.
There is a bad man,
You may know him as a brother, an uncle or as Daddy.
There is a bad man that’s always checking her phone.
There is a bad man who likes to make sure she is always alone
There is a bad man,
who maybe had a bit too much to drink that night,
Likes to smoke something wicked,
Likes to numb out the hardship that is life.
And there is a bad man,
that gives her bruises,
All over her mind, feelings and body.
There is a bad man,
He has hurt my Mother, my siblings and my child.
He may have hurt me once or twice, I’m his wife
but I felt I could not recoil.
There is a bad man,
the police see him everyday.
Not all men are bad but,
There is a bad man,
Please stay safe and get away.
