The Faculty was actually fun to watch sure it has it's stupid parts but overall it wasn't bad and I see why I liked it when I was younger.

I am about to watch Paranormal Activity 3 and after that I plan to watch Underworld: Rise of the Lycans [I am not a huge fan of underworld although it was okay and interesting but rise of the lycans was the best in my opinion and I adore it.]

Watched the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo at the cinema earlier. Although one scene was a bit hard to watch, I was very impressed with the film. Might see if I can catch it again before it leaves cinemas.

I have seen the foreign versions although not the American one but I am going to rent it when it comes out.

At the moment for some strange reason I am watching Cars 2 but so far it is rather boring.

I've seen the Swedish (2009) ones. Is the American one any good?

I really liked that film, I had to watch it in two parts though because I got to that scene I believe you're referencing and had to stop watching, then go back later after I'd composed myself lol. Still a really good film.

I haven't seen the Swedish version so I couldn't compare the two; however, I really enjoyed the American version. The acting, particularly from Rooney Mara (Lisabeth), was excellent. I also really liked the way the film was cut together from scene to scene. That's more of a stylistic appreciation than anything, but yeah, in my opinion it's worth seeing. But be careful. I don't know how the original film handled the rape scene, but the American version pulls no punches. If someone were to have any history with sexual abuse it could be very difficult to watch.

Yeah. I know what you mean. I had read up about the film's rating before I went to see it, so I knew torture/ rape was coming and it still took me aback. You can't really prepare yourself for it. But yeahhh, I don't want to get caught up on that. I loved the film for its acting, cinematography, and engrossing story and character development.
The following content has been hidden - Reason : spoiler
The scene near the end when Martin has Mikael in his basement is amazingggg. The the way the tension is just building and building and then Martin turns on music and it's Enya. LOL That scene in particular sold the film for me. So perfect!

Still haven't seen the American version, but the Swedish one was pretty graphic rape scene -wise. I do quite like the books though, so I will watch it.

I have a hard time watching rape scenes in movies so I usually skip through them. When I watched the foreign versions I defiantly skipped the rape scene it makes me physically ill to watch rape scenes in any movie. I originally wasn't going to watch the movie because of the rape scene but I still realize it is a very good movie and I will just have to skip that certain part. I won't skip out on a good movie just because it has something in it that makes me uncomfortable.

On another note I plan to watch The Rum Diary later tonight.

Cars 2 was just boring and I didn't finish watching the movie I just didn't like it.

Watched Chatroom last as I bought it on Monday. Oooo it's good! Reminded me of Japanese cinema but toned down A LOT.

Also Aaron Johnson in it is gorgeous. <3

I ended up watching a movie called Carriers last night and it was interesting and had some good actors in it but I would have preferred they went more in depth with what had happened and taken more time with the characters. The ending also wasn't all that great.

I plan to watch the rum diary in a little while since I didn't get to it the other night.
