My sisters boyfriend has one.
It's alright, it gets you where you want to go.
Even if it does take you down all the back lines.

It's so easy to get lost in constantly having to present
whatever face you believe a person wants to see rather than your own

I got one for my birthday because I am useless! I mean utterly useless! And yeah they are really good, and the fact is now you can update it online so no need to buy new softwear every few years for new roads to be put on them.

Another plus with the TomTom, is that you now yet this program tomtom home. You can have it plugged into the pc and sort out your routes etc instead of fiddling about with it when you get into the car.

I would reccommend it personally because it has always kept me right!!!

You made up your mind to torture mine!
If you read a scar like a book, you will relise the story in which you over look
red ribbons were weaving
upon the young girls skin.
a trail of red weaved deep,
caused by pain from within

I've got one on my Lexus, which was part of the original spec for that model.
Overall I find it disappointing because:

a. It only displays Parish names, rather than the name of the village which I'm passing through. I couldn't care less about the Parish name - I want to know how the map relates to the name on the village signpost in front of me.

b. I gather that there are modern Satnav systems with which you have only to enter a UK Postcode in order for you to get there. That makes a lot of sense.

c. The instructions are a lifetime study in themselves, over 60 pages. By the time you've read them, still less understood them, you could get to several destinations by just reading an AA Road Atlas.

But my car is now 4 years old and all these gadgets move on. So my advice would be to get Halfords or whoever to give you a thorough demonstration and to satisfy yourself that it really would be a worthwhile investment. Good luck!

Tony.
