hey everyone, just keeping in touch with you all, nothing really to say but I'm still lurking around and making sure you're all ok. You're doing great getting to know one another, that Kiwi meet WILL happen one day, I reckon.

Just found this thread, how neat! just for us kiwis =] what a great idea

How Many Can You Tick off.

If thong to you means a pair of underwear. Definantly- it would be weird to call anything else a thong! lol
If you favor marmite over vegemite. Hehe im actually a vegemite person...
If you can know what this means..... tahi, rua, toru, wha, rima, ono, whitu, rau, iwi, tekau. - I know this all too well- gota learn all this for teaching little ones =]
If you can know more then one use for No.8 wire (other then fencing) Of course! endless amounts of things!
If you know what a ponga tree is and what it represents - nope? I don't think so.....
If you've ever heard of and played with the Buzzy Bee- of course, i had one when i was younger! loved it. Used to trail it along behind me when i learnt to walk =]
If you've experienced the joy of the pohutukawa tree in summer- yip! beautiful trees they are
If Rugby is your sport of choice- whether playing or watching- not really a sports person....
AND
If you can find a connection or meaning with those listeed below then- i think its fairly obvious that you're a KIWI

Chocolate fish- YIP, yum yum
Edmonds Cookbook. - got plenty of these, including a microwave one lol
Footrot Flats- my dad told me about the book growing up if i remember correctly
Hāngi- had a few in my lifetime, quite an experience.
Hokey pokey ice-cream- one of my favourites =]
Kiwi who doesnt know! i mean seriously, were named after them =]
Kiwifruit- yummy but eat too many and it makes my lips and tounge hurt lol =[
Paua- shells are very pretty
Pineapple lumps-I love the giant ones!
Swanndri-yup! got a friend whos obsessed with them
Stubbies- haha yup
Gumboots- should probly get a new pair
Tip-Top ice cream. - very familur lol
Watties tomato sauce - with lots of things =]
Four Square supermarkets -havnt seen one in a while i dont think, but growing up they were very conveniant!

Though i know quite a bit about verbs- well different verbs and how to write them. and that nouns have capitals :D I suck at the speaking part though.
*lol* When I told my boyfriend that he actually has to write the nouns with capitals he refused to learn the language He knows a bit through Rammstein (a German rock/metal band which is a lot more popular here than I thought!) and tried to write the lyrics down but he ignored the capitals and so the sentence didn't make sense at all *lol* There's a word, if you write it with a capital it means "vagina", if not, the word means "to seperate"

Oooh I found a BurgerFuel voucher today and I really miss it down here! There's none on the South Island I think and the last time I had a feed there was about 4 months ago... Hmmm I looove the Peanut Piston

I'm thinking about going up North again, for a few weeks to work in a pack house where I've worked before. Would be good money and here is nothing much going on at the moment and I'm getting really lazy and bored and stuff and that's not good as I keep spending money which I shouldn't really do ^^

About the New Zealand Sign Language - do you understand it? I think it's a really good idea to have a week for that, it's not really common where I come from and not many people "speak" (what verb is appropiate?^^) it.

I used to have probs with chat, if you use a uni internet network sometimes it won't work as you are going through a proxy. Not sure what you can do to fix it unless you're willing to ask someone v gd at computers.

Would like to arrange a chat time, not sure when though.

a live chat meet would be cool. though my life follows a ridiculous timetable and so i don't know when a good time would be lol.

burgerfuel is amazing! how can dunners not have one? hamilton has 2! lol

anyone else get the wel network power discount? STOKED

i have a new flatmate moving in. i'm being awfully bitchy and judging her before i know her, but that's just cause i'm in a bad mood...

i learnt to sign my name from a book. i really want to learn to sign, but there's no point as no one i know thinks its that interesting, which i think is totally a shame. maybe i'll just learn it so i can say stuff to people without them knowing what im saying hehe.

Funny story. A guy at work did something stereotypically male, so i was like f**kn males! he was like what?! the most amazingest fake-save i've ever thought of "I said ducks n whales!"

i'm cold and bored

if you're having chat problems it could be that the java plug in needs updating, could be the connection(speed) or it could be the browser. sometimes if you just keep refreshing it, f5 i think, it'll work. eventually. lol

Gem xo

This battered room Ive seen before
The broken bones they heal no more, no more
With my last breath Im choking
Will this ever end? I'm hoping
My world is over one more time

god i feel like choc fish now!
Chat would be awesome- not so keen for next week as i'm away till Friday. Im going on camp (so i wont be around :) )

Hows your new flat mate Imaginary? Hope shes better than you were thinking.
Iv never heard of burger fuel.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. Im not doing anything interesting really- trying to keep busy. How about you guys :)

And proxies could be affecting chat, but i also find that if other people are on the same internet connection it can affect it.
