You can find it in the left hand corner, underneath your avatar and postcount. Does that do the same job?

Its like 'Closed Thread' - I spent ages wondering if that was the same as a locked thread!

I think calling it a "closed thread" is more like, user friendly or something. Threads automatically "close" when they get old, and it probably just sounds less scary to a new person than if they were all "locked".
