That sounds like a nice little treat. I hope that means you're over the infection and doing okay. <3

Sounds lovely Mary!
I'm so glad the card can bring you some happiness in a not so great time
Are you feeling any better from the infection?

I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!

Who else is fine?!?!?

Thank you guys and yes, infection has gone and good news, I've graduated from the Wheely machine to a zimmer/walking frame. Soon I'll have free reign without buzzing for staff, that's my next goal. Things are getting easier, they're saying that I may just bypass the rehab center and just go home because of how well I'm working with the physio team.

Wow Mary, you're such a fighter. Well done with everything you're achieving. I'm glad you enjoyed your Costa, well deserved.

Trying to remain positive but it's bloody hard.
My recovery doesn't seem to progress.
My CPN left and I'm left to do all applications for my pip and housing.
No support from mh services since before my suicide attempt.
I'm trying to remain positive but emotionally, everything hurts.

I want to go home but have no home to go to and they won't discharge me till I have

I feel scared and so so so alone.

It's more than okay to be struggling. That's a lot to deal with and it makes no sense to me why you don't have any mental health support. Is there anyone who can work on advocating for you so you don't have to take on more of the burden?

I'm sorry you're feeling such emotional pain. You're dealing with a lot so no wonder you're feeling that way. Will you be getting a replacement CPN? Advocacy is a very good idea.

Echoing what Camden and Lindsay said and asked. And I will add my outrage at your lack of support. I can't imagine how awful things are for you but know that there's a big load of us here rooting for you!

Are your family/hospital staff able to support at all with nagging for mental health support and help with your applications?

No other sadness in the world would do

I legit don't know how advocacy works, who could I contact?
Love you all for the positivity and support, honestly.

My family are livid about what happened as there were warning signs which I expressed multiple times and are unhappy that I've had no support with this and looks like I won't post hospital.

Nurses want to refer me to the hospital MH team but I refuse as been there done that. Either they discharge me before seeing me or just tell me to talk to the very busy nurses.

But, I managed to walk up the stairs the other day. A whole flight.

That’s amazing!! Well done you!

Re support- one thing I would say (synical as it may sound) is let them refer you. Let the team assess you. If you refuse it suggests (to professionals who don’t know you) that you don’t want support. I know that’s silly and not the case but if you speak to advocacy and complain etc it will go in your favour if you’ve shown a willingness to work with all services. I’m sorry it’s this way x

Pomegranate does have a good point. I'm not sure how advocacy works in your country, but hopefully someone else does. Maybe you could even just ask the nurses to see if they could look into it?

That's so cool re the stairs! Good job! Any idea on when you'll be able to get out/ finding a new house?

Very well done with the stairs!

Can you Google mental health advocacy in your area? If there is access to advocacy they would talk with you about what you need and support you to get your point across.

Mums are good for shouting about what you need! I'm glad your Mum was able to get you some support. Are you getting out today?
