I'm writng a 3 part book series
It's called Tourniquet, the series. I've finished writing the first one (just plain Tourniquet), currently writing Tourniquet: Conquest, and hoping to write Tourniquet: Silence (or sth like that) when I've finished T:C. Now I've just put chapter 17 and 18 up in the creative corner and I've got a support group for the publication on it on Facebook.
Facebook group
I've forgotten the password to the myspace.
Summary for Tourniquet 1 is as follows -
The Third World War was brutal.
Millions of American men lost their lives fighting in Asia and in Europe.
But the superpower that rose after the Third World War has now done more damage to each individual than anyone could picture Utopia to be framed as.
Welcome to the future.
Los Angeles is now the City of Fallen Angels instead of the City of Angels.
Halos choke the city instead of glamourising the horizons.
Darkness is the new light.
Lies are the new oxygen.
Greenhouse gases have been replaced with neon billboards while freedom and individualism have been replaced with suppression and conformity. A global corporation now controls minds with propaganda and drugs, doused with deceit and hypocrisy.
Now a group of people, who are hated by society for what they believe in, must rise against the global corporation to try and gain a better world order. Lives will be lost and hearts will shed more blood, as the fight for the Old World begins.
Those who falter will be left behind to willow in the wraiths of the future and those who make it, will be considered as heroes for eternity. Pages of the history books will be ripped out and burnt and so will the lives of many people.
The fight is on for the New World as it has more on its hands then just an angry mob.

Sounds excellent. I'm going to have to look it up now.
And I love that I'm not the only author here who does shameless plugs

Ooooh, they sound pretty interesting... I love a good "thinky" book. So are you hoping to get these published? Any particular audience or people in mind?

Yes I'm hoping to get all 3 published when I've done them all. My target audience is young adult to mature adult, because when you start to read it, it is very understandable if you read from the beginning but if you come into the middle of it you don't grasp concepts quite as well.

Oh my! Very thought provoking if not a slightly frightening concept. It sounds great though! Good luck :)

Well I was inspired by Brave New World by Aldous Huxley and Blade Runner (the movie).
