I use peroxide, but boiling it in water sounds like it would work fine too. If you're still not sure, you could clean it with some sort of anti-bacterial solution afterwards.
Take care!

Boiling in water would not fully steralise your blades.

Unless you plan on boiling your blades in bleach water for 8 hours you're not sterilizing them.
However, you are sanitizing them, and in that case 30 minutes of boiling water will suffice.

Well it breaks my heart to see you this way,
The beauty in life, where's it gone?
And somebody told me you were doing okay,
Somehow I guess they were wrong.

boiling water does not sterilize instruments. In order for things to become sterile, they have to be properly cleaned and disinfected, and then the item has to reach a temperature of well over 270 degrees, for a certain amount of time, or certain gasses like ETO, Paracetic Acid, and stuff must be used in the right conditions. Although, boiling them, when it is your own stuff your cleaning, is probably fine...( I work for the operating room ,sterilizing all their stuff...just in case anyone wants to know where I get the info)
