Songs that soothe you

Hi! I'm brand new here :)
I tend to use music to calm me down whenever I'm not doing well and I was curious what are some of your go-to songs that seem to help you, whether it feels cathartic, calming, upbeat, whatever as long as you get lost in it!

Currently, my song on repeat is: Beirut-Mimizan

Hi, welcome to RYL.

I mostly only really listen to Linkin Park and Muse and a lot of their stuff can be upsetting. Plus I find that it depends what kind of mood I'm in how a song will affect me sometimes.

Invincible by Muse is my favourite positive song.

Also like Battle Symphony - Linkin Park.

Pressure - Muse is quite fun.

Knights of Cydonia - Muse.

Old songs from my teenage years like In Too Deep - Sum 41.

I.O.U - Mike Shinoda.

I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.

Don't try to calm the storm, calm yourself, the storm will pass.

Have you ever confused a dream with life? Or stolen something when you have the cash? Have you ever been blue? Or thought your train moving while sitting still? Maybe I was just crazy. Maybe it was the 60's. Or maybe I was just a girl... interrupted.
I know what it's like to want to die. How it hurts to smile. How you try to fit in but you can't. How you hurt yourself on the outside to try to kill the thing on the inside. I tried groups, didn't work out just made my depression a lot worse.

I'm definitely putting muse on my playlist.

Also, I'm not really one for music videos but I like to watch and listen to Waiting For The End by Linkin Park.

Welsh Male Voice Choirs sooth me. I have an album on my phone of one of the choirs in my next village and an few albums of an choir that is based in a different village but still within my county. I dare you to have a listen to a welsh male Voice choir.

Here's an example. Be warned that if you do go looking for other tracks by the same choir (all freely available on YouTube) that there's a song which features Rolf Harris. Depending on your pov it's something people may wish to avoid.

You've got a friend- Carole King.

I've been singing this song recently and it's made me feel a lot better!

I love this thread! I've already started adding all your suggestions to my recommendations playlist :)

I made myself choose a top 5:
See The Sun - Dido
All This Time - Maria Mena
Burden - Foy Vance
I'll Put You Together Again - Hot Chocolate
I'm Still Good - Hannah Montana (don't judge)

No other sadness in the world would do
