when i was about 10, i remember haveing a really bd cold and bein made to take tablets for it.
i was made to take them but it didn't work as i was near enough sick, but it took me severally attempts to take them but i couldn't

when i cam to last last time my dad lost it is hit me, and since then i hv neva been able to swallow them or been able to be around my dad when i hv done somthin wrong.

is it abuse??

basically when i was 10 (i am now 16) my dad hit me for not bein able to swallow tablets. this has affected the rest of my life really as i don't like bein around him on my own in case he hits me again as i know he gets very angry with me aot of the time for what seems no reson

I'm not sure it's abuse if it only happened once, it could be assault. Or I'm just wrong.
I understand that it was scary for you, but you really need to talk to him about it, if it's still effecting your life today.

i would go with the view that it was assault as it was a one of thing.

i would go with abuse...your parents are supposed to be your protectors, and when one of them hits you and now your scared of him then it must be abuse. it doesnt matter how many times it happens just that once has obviously had an effect on you. i guess as above you could try talking to him, and explain how much that hurt you and you dont trust him. *shrug* hope your ok hun xoxo

He seems quite controlling, and that most of his behavior is controlling you since he said most of the time he gets angry for no reason. And since you can't really control someone (mind wise) when they can't swallow pills he hit you because he didn't want to "lose" his control over you. It sounds like it is abusive, but he seems more emotionally abusive since he only hit you a few times when you were younger. I'm not saying that didn't count, because it certainly did, but this is just my take on everything.

megan if it was a one off i can understand how it has effected your life but talk to your parents about it and explain what it has done to you.

you have a lot going for you, many people who are willing to suport you. to me it appears that you hide behind what has happened and what it has done to you in order to not have to face things that maybe happening now.

stand strong and deal with the previous issue talk to your rents about it.

then face all the new crap its that simple
