I am currently:
Wound Care Question - stitches/treatment after 24 hours

has anyone any experience of how they treat wounds after it has been 24 hours already?

they have never stitched me up after four hours as the healing prosess has already started. def not after 24 hrs sorry

I am currently:

^in certain circumstances they can, but it is rare. I'd recommend getting it seem to as soon as possible. They will be able to dress it properly at the very least to aid healing.

I am currently:

I've had stitches after 24hours although it did require surgery beforehand. It is always worth getting seen to because there are a whole load of treatment options.

I am currently:

they can debride the wound to make the edges more suitable for closure after 24 hours but for the majority of the time they just wrap it.
