hi all :]
I'm here in hopes of finding support with whom I can relate, and to return the favor of course :] I think I need to be able to speak with people in similar circumstances (I personally know of no one).. So I suppose it would make sense to briefly outline my own?
I am a survivor of childhood abuse as well as incidences of later abuse, and experience a good deal of disruptive flashbacks and such.
I do self-harm, including cutting, pulling hair, picking skin, compulsive/binge eating, and self-punishment such as not allowing myself to do things I need and love.
I'm a caretaker-type and suspect it is time I begin to take care of myself, with as much love as I can muster..
I want to be better more than anything, and to help others be well too. Messages welcome :]

There are many helpful threads, like info about grounding, sleeping tips, flashback help... check out the "A list of useful threads" post stickied at the top of that forum if you are interested. I hope RYL is as helpful to you as it has been for me.
