I actually do find it offensive and I'm sure many users would find that offensive as well as triggering. Many users here are ill and suffering from depression, eating disorders, self injury and many other mental problems and having an avatar with an "emo kid" could be a huge trigger..remove it please. also, i friggin hate labels.
I think it's absolutely fine. Anyone with half a sense of humour can tell it isn't serious. And I think members on here are intelligent enough to realise that being an emo has bugger all to do with self harm.

i understand what youre saying in terms of it being offensive.. and i wouldnt want to make anyone feel bad.
I dont understand how it could be triggering.. its not like it shows.. oh i dont know.. a person smashing their head against a bath tap or anything.
I wouldn't say it's offensive at all. Being emo has nothing to do with self-harm, so why should it be offensive? It's only ignorant people who match them together and they don't know anything anyway, so who cares what they think?
nothing wrong with it here, not to be rude though xmeowx on more than one occasion ive had to skip your posts as the rocking figure in the bath did get to me some.

For future reference if someone's signature or avatar triggers you, use the report post button and the mods will decide if it is inappropriate or not. Unfortunately they can't know what is bothering people if they don't know about it and chances are if it bothers you it bothers someone else and so you are doing the community a favour.

im sorry about that, i didn't know it would make people uncomfortable! i will change it soon. the person is not hitting their head against the wall, despite what people are saying and I know that for a fact. I would never post up a photo of a person physically hurting themselves, especially on this kind of website xox
