SI Question - Stitches

Hi :]
Well, last night I had to get stitches in my wrist, and most of them were done the way I'm used to, with the needle going through one side of the cut and into the other.
However, for one of them, he pushed the needle all the way across the cut, underneath it, if that makes sense.
I'm just a bit puzzled, is that normal and will it hurt more when taken out?
Thanks

Should've said something but I've said it enough.

I think I kind of get what you mean, though am not certain. Basically there are MANY different ways of stitching a wound and without seeing it right now I don't know exactly which way he used (though you can't post pics on the forum; you can PM me with it but don't feel that's necessary). This is due to the different sizes of wounds/ their position etc and the easiest way to do it with least tissue damage. In terms of taking it out, no, the tissue should've totally healed by then and it shouldn't hurt as much.

Iv had one stitched like that! All the rest have always been done the 'normal' way. I dont know why he done it but it wasnt any different when the stitches came out to any of the others! x
