Hi there Lucy, so pleased to hear that you've made a resolution not to cut- well done for making that decision and I wish you the best of luck :)
In terms of reducing scars, products such as bio-oil, cocoa butter and moisturisers that contain vitamin E are thought to be helpful when massaged in to the skin. Do make sure you only use these products on healed wounds though, as they could interfere with the wound healing.

that's a great resolution to keep!
My plastic surgeon advised me to get Vaseline Intensive Care and to massage it into my healed scars for 10 minutes every day. She said that doing that is a lot cheaper than buying bio oil and is actually more beneficial, it just involves more commitment. But hey, think of how soft your hands will be!

It's the massaging that really helps to break down the scar tissue. Doesn't really matter what you use, general mousturiser will work as well as any posh stuff if you are massaging it in for a few minutes.

Kelocote is good but only available on prescription. Good for keloid scars and burns.

Kelocote is available not on prescription but is expensive. Same as dermatix which is a very similar product.
