Haha, I'm pretty sure I remember the tongue licking.
I bloody love RYL bingo.

The "say here" thread. May it rest in peace and also, goddammit everyone who broke the rules in there, although, I can hardly talk.

Yep, between 6pm-6am dial up was only 1p per minute in the UK. Not sure if it varied from provider to provider, we were with BT I think. If you went online outside of those times it was incredibly expensive. So I would get an hour online, my brother would get an hour and my dad an hour each evening. This was the same time a single text message cost 10p! And my parents would top up my phone £10 but couldn't do it every month so I really had to make it last. Usually me and all my school friends would go on MSN at 6pm and talk on there!

Yeah in the early days there was no limit on how big your signature could be. And some people's were literally half a page long with whole poems, songs in there, tons of pictures. It was a bit overwhelming. I was also guilty of this!!!

Has anyone heard from Harley or Tony recently? Obviously with RYL still online someone is maintaining the website or at least paying for the hosting. I just worry one day it will vanish and that will be that.

The RYL font where people designed letters..I remember thinking that was pretty awesome.

Haha the say here thread..definitely feel I might have got infractions due to that thread.

On a side note..I miss my msn days. I spoke to so many RYL'ers on there I think my longest conversation on msn was over 10hrs..basically all night. Those were the days I barely slept.

That reminded me of sigs that Aphelion created for people. I cant recall what they were called specifically but they were well done and a lot of people had them

You mean the 'passively aggressively say here what you want to say to other members but don't have the guts to' thread :P

My memory is that he met the ban hammer at some point, but I couldn't tell you when or for how long

This is quite a chat to stumble upon on my first day back.

I was on here back when it first moved from Ruin to Recover. I pretty much remember all of these things :)

In case you couldn't guess - my original name was SilentSigh. I loved reading these memories.

Thanks and a curtsy.

The avatar days were fun (Lil Zac - from Prozac). Still have that stuff somewhere.

Going back to earlier mentions of RYL-ish gigs - Morrissey was in New York last night. I didn't go this time but there's lots of video on YT.

Thinking of music - I just remembered that long bum "best band" poll by Carnifex. Not sure who won it ran so long lol

Didn't we have site scavenger hunts for a while? Am I imagining that?
