re-admitted/voices/blackouts

im back in hospital for the 3rd time in a year. last year i spent 6 months on a general psycratric unit and 4 months in a specialist unit learning DBT but still havent got anywhere on knowing how to cope with the voice in my head...any ideas? i have tried distraction which helps most of the time but not when its really bad.
i have been having blackouts gradually increasing in severity over the past few years im confused why and how this happens, does anyone else suffer with these?

A therapeutic community might really help with some of your issues. They can be extremely challenging and very hard work though, so, whilst worth it, you need to be fairly resilient before you consider one. Worth thinking about for the future though.

Have you spoken to a Dr about the blackouts? It could be an undiagnosed medical condition.

When things are really bad it is hard to tackle with coping strategies, you should try and break into the increasing distress at the bottom of the incline towards intolerable distress.

Have you considered making a coping folder of all the strategies taught that you find helpful this could include DBT, breathing techniques, distractions, self affirmations, useful contacts/helplines.

May I ask, what specialist unit were you sent to for the DBT?

Yep I have a DBT folder and diary cards, diary etc.
I was in London, beckton in the cygnet hospital, new dawn ward.
I hadva blackout yesterday on the ward and they put me down the LSE and on a nurses section and after that 1:1 obs. I went on leave today knowing (myself and staff knowing) that I'm feeling suicidal and they let me go without any medication coz I refused to take it with me.
I'm starting my new job on Monday, what happens if I have a blackout then? I'm panicking

I hope the new job goes okay.
Have you spoken to the staff about it?

It doesn't matter where you come from; it matters where you go.
No-one gets remembered for the things they didn't do.
We won't all be here this time next year,
so while you can take a picture of us.
We're definitely going to hell,
but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

There is no point talking to the staff, they don't care. I will speak to Neil though ( my workwise adviser) coz I will be working with him I'm sure he will understand coz he knows me well

They might be able to help though. Did you manage to speak to your adviser?
How are you doing now?
