Proud of you, Chelsey.
Once again, Congrats, Conor.

Continuing with University successes, a while ago I decided to apply to do a slightly different
degree at a different uni and received a conditional offer, so, yay. I finally get to cut the umbilical cord and move out.

Plus, I feel rather heroic for finally e-mailing [after about a month of fretting] my lectures about it, I figured they'd give me a telling off for some ridiculous reason but instead they congratulated me. So, it's all good in the hood right now.

Conor- CONGRATULATIONS!!! So excited for you. And to come visit the Conor-Lana residence once you move!

Katie- Well done for going to reading group and I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

Mary- I had no idea this was in the pipeline!! Stalking fail! Well done for going out of your comfort zone and applying and for getting in! What will you be studying and where? Also well done for emailing the lecturers :)

There was only 3 people to congratulate, so I felt it wasn't needed!

And as an aside, I just stalked Mary's RV in more detail and realised I should of known a month and a half ago about her university plans. Sorry Mary!!

Well done everyone.

I went to therapy yesterday even though I didn't want to in case she spotted that my mood was becoming elevated and she would want to take it away from me. She did notice (well duh! Sarah!). I then agreed to see my key worker today to discuss my mood. Hoping the heroics continue into the afternoon and stop me from cancelling the appointment because I really want to hide from the anti-crazy people and explore the world with my enlightened eyes but I appreciate that this is not the grown up thing to do and being 25 I should at least pretend to be a legit grown up from time to time - just not too often. babbling again... hmm do they have babbling as a mood??

Went down to see the nice people at the CMHT yesterday. The nurse that did my assessment was really nice. She said she's going to recommend they take me on and that she would like me to see the psychiatrist at least once for a more in depth assessment as well as to review my medication.

^ Well done for sticking it out, even though that sounds really scary!

I stuck it out this afternoon at work even though I didn't think I was going to be able to. Not sure that makes me a hero but whatever. :P

Normal days are awesome! Showers you with heroic glitter.

I managed to keep a lid on some mild hypomanic symptoms for 3 hours when in a meeting with my supervisor and two post docs!

Thanks, I'm glad you both have replied I was coming on here to delete it because I let the hypomania run free that afternoon so felt bad about posting here. I feel a little better about it now, thank you. x

Welcome aboard new heroes!!

As an aside, I'd like to direct all heroes to Holly's thread about lucky stars, as it is an excellent idea :)

Onto the congratulations, with colours especially for Lana :P

Emo- well done for getting through lots of difficult bus situations :)
Katie- Sounds like a really productive day- well done!

Luce- yay for sticking it out at work, well done <3
Rob- Glad you made it to the CMHT- good show! I hope they turn out to be really helpful :)

Sarah- Well done for being so sensible about seeing your key worker and for managing to reign in the hypomania.

truedat!

In Jenna land I am trying to be a hero and not cancel my doctor's appointment on Monday, and I am also planning to attend a social thingy for my job that starts in September, without my mother and girlfriend having to nag me. Casual buffet for the death of my social anxiety!!

I can't believe how long it's been since I've looked at this thread. To be honest I felt ashamed, I couldn't face it because I have been the least heroic person the past few months. But I have been thinking of you all and I'm so pleased there are so many heroics going on. Well done everyone. I need to keep reading this thread to keep me inspired.

Anyway, time for a heroic act. I managed to force myself to clean the flat, despite feeling exhausted. I even did some painting. I resisted and I'm still trying to resist the urge to self harm. I went for a bubble bath so I'm now squeaky clean.

Sometimes just getting out of bed and facing another day is heroic all in itself. Heroics don't have to be challenging or difficult or massive. You have clearly made it through the last few months and i am going to congratulate you on your heroics of doing that as well as cleaning the flat and having a bath you have clearly had a massively heroic day. well done.

Thank you Jenna. x
