They do write great songs. I'd not gone off them, but I'd been into other stuff for about a year and now I've gone back fully to them and I appreciate it even more now. I've been listening to them since I was 2 for god's sake! lol. Scary We need to liven up the manics thread actually
But yeah more SI songs, ummmmm I'm not sure...but definately the ones I recommended before.
(sorry for rambling off topic )

Well, I can think of quite a few songs about SI, but... if I try to think of slow songs, the list suddenly becomes much shorter...
What I can think of right now is:

Sinergy-Razorblade Salvation
Linkin Park-Braking the habit (I'm not sure if this one was mentioned before...)
Children of Bodom-Everytime I die (not excactly about SI, but I think it still kind of fits. Also not really slow (at least not what an average person would call slow))
Children of Bodom-Touch like angel of death (again, not really slow but has some great verses about SI'ing)
CoB-Towards dead end (see above)
For my pain-My wound is deeper than yours
For my pain-Tomorrow is closed gate (more about being suicidal than SI, but still catches the mood well.)
Sonata Arctica-Victoria's secret
Sonata Arctica-Replica (again, not really about SI but feels like it is)
Papa Roach-Last Resort (no slow, but I guess one of the most "popular" songs about SI)

If anyone's interessted, I can also post a list of German songs which have SI as a topic

Draw back in silence to dwell in anxiety
No matter where I am, I'm alone
My dreams are shattered
into thousand running tears

Although I wouldn't recommend if you're not in a safe mindset.
Richey Edwards, the lead singer used to self harm and have an eating disorder untill he disappeared. (If he is alive then he may or may not still have them).

In an interview with NME (i think) he managed to freak out the interviewer and thus was spawned the classic image of him.

But yeah. Thats why the first albums reference suicide, self harm and anorexia so much.

He wasn't the lead singer, he was the rhythm guitarist, although he couldn't actually play. And yeah it was in an interview with Steve Lamacq of the NME when Richey cut '4REAL' into his arm. He's my siggy, although not for the SI links, they're separate matters.

Ummm...
Cut Up Angels by The Used is sort of slow.

Adam's Song by Blink 182 is more about suicide, but you know... whatever...

My Black Dahlia by Hollywood Undead is an excellent song. I love it, which is weird, cos it's not really my type of music at all.
Hollywood Undead are cool.

To me 'The Razor' by Head Automatica is not a SH song in the slightest. But I guess it's just down to how you listen to it. I can see how other people would hear it in that way.

These ain't exactly slow.
But still very good for a listen.

Incase these havn't been mentioned I think pretty much all of Linkin Park's first EP called Hybrid Theory. (And just as a a side note, I do not like Linkin Park except for some of their remixes and that ep.)

Alexisonfire - No Transitory

Jack Off Jill have quite a few.

um...

Bloc Party - Two More Years
Bloc Party - This Is Not A competition (maybe... maybe not.)

Pretty Girls Make Graves - Blue Lights (related maybe)

I'm sure I have waaaaaaaay more.
Just too tired to go hunting.

Another slow song about SI is Testify by Amy Studt...I cannot believe that it hasnīt been mentioned before.

I can't control my destiny.
I trust my soul. My only goal is just to be.

this one isn't really slow, but it's not super fast:

"Self-Inflicted" by Smile Empty Soul

but "Here We Are" by Breaking Benjamin is good and pretty slow in my opinion :)

Kissing the Lipless - The Shins

I dont think its supposed to all be about SH but I relate to that.
Some lyrics:

"You've got too much to wear on your sleeves, that has to much to do with me"

and my personal fav lyrics in the song:

"You tested your metal on doe skin and petal, whilst kissing the lipless who bleed all the sweetness away"

Hey man, now you're really living.

Has anyone said "Numb" by linkin park? "Razorblade" by the Strokes isn't really about SH, but it's a good song: "The world is in your hand or at your throat." Between the trees "The Way she feels" is great, the music video is excellent, as is the one for "Numb".
