Just wondering if there are any other A-levelers out there waiting for their results on 14/08 like me. Is anybody feeling as scared as me? It's so daunting, and causing me a lot of anxiety. I feel like my whole future depends on these stupid grades.
For you to be here now trillions of drifting atoms had somehow to assemble in an intricate and intriguingly obliging manner to create you. It's an arrangement so specialized and particular that it has never been tried before and will only exist this once. That is of course the miracle of life.

GCSE results are the following week, and I know that uni results and IB results and stuff are out around the same time, so I imagine that a lot of people will be getting results soon.
I know I was frightened (quite a few years ago!) because my uni place was riding on it and I wasn't 100% sure I'd get the grades.
It doesn't matter where you come from; it matters where you go.
No-one gets remembered for the things they didn't do.
We won't all be here this time next year,
so while you can take a picture of us.
We're definitely going to hell,
but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
I'm experiencing this from the other end- our oldest students at school (year 10) did GCSE English lit this year, so I'm nervous on their behalf for the results! Same with the A level students I tutored- really hoping they did well.
Wishing you all the best for your results. Your whole future doesn't depend on this, though I know it can feel that way! If the results don't open the doors that you want to be opened, then there is always the option of resitting next year, or looking into other options which may turn out to be even better! When I left school I went to medical school, yet here I am as a maths teacher! The results you get and the choices you make now don't mean your future is set in stone; there's always options for changing the path you're on if you don't like it :)
Wow Jenna, you went to medical school?! That's so impressive! I'm guessing you weren't keen? Maths is better anyway;) I know of a few people who got into medical school and then didn't like it. One of whom was my chemistry teacher from years 10-13. I'm doing theoretical physics with maths if all goes to plan. I don't have a plan B so it's all a little concerning but I'm counting on the fact that I get in. I meant to thank you for your help on my maths lark by the way, I don't know if I did because I went away to Poland shortly after I sent you that PM.

Egh, I need AAA so it's pretty scary. And an A* will get me £1000 from my uni so there's a lot of pressure to get that, too. I just want to know now. Anxiety is absolutely through the roof.

AAA is scary, because it's such a high bar, when something vital is riding on it. I sat up all night hoping UCAS would update. In the end, I was emailed by my uni before results were out (the previous day) congratulating me (so I knew I'd got my offer!). How'd you think it went?

Rooke has a point. You already took tour exams. Soon you'll know your results.x
what grades did your insurance choice ask.for ?
I think my uni asked for either AAA or AAB( I don't know for sure what the equivalent grades are) and all my other choices asked for the same, so it was awful because I had no insurance choice!
Eeeeeeeek it's tomorrow! I'm so nervous, my stomach's galloping like a gazelle:/ My insurance wants ABB but I really don't want to go there so it'll be clearing for me if I don't get into my firm.
Wish me luck everyone! And good luck to the A levelers and AS levelers reading this too!
PS. Sorry for excessive use of exclamation marks.

Good luck to all..! I remember the nerves well..! Even though it was seven years ago for me :)
♥It's the ups and downs of living life this way. Promise me you'll never go away. Just stay with me through one more night because it's always darkest before the light and now I promise you I'll never turn away. I won't let you give us one less heart to break...♥

I am a massive fan of exclamation marks, never apologise for them!
Best of luck for later today- really hope you get your 3As (and maybe an A*, because £1000 is always nice). Also hope my maths advice r.e. modules etc was correct!
Good luck guys! I remember waiting and it was absolutely horrific! I found out mine at like 6am because I got on before track crashed so I didn't know results but knew I got my first choice which was all I was actually bothered about - the letters didn't matter so much as my place!
There will always be a happy ending. If its not happy then its not yet the end.

I got A*AA and an A in my enrichment AS level. SO chuffed with that. And I got into my firm. Celebrations are in order! I hope everyone's as pleased with their grades as I am.
