I hope you do get home soon. Or at least a proper plan going forward. I hope the doctors explain to you why you're detained at the moment and how treatment might be adjusted from here.

A CPA sounds like it could be really positive, and definitely necessary.

Maybe something useful for the meeting tomorrow could be if you spent some time tonight coming up with some strategies for coping in the community with little/no support to show them? I know you've mentioned flashbacks, so perhaps having some stuff written out about what you would do to manage if those get very intense, or how you will manage self harm urges or suicidal ideation? Showing them you have thought things through and do have the skills to manage alone may be more likely to get them to work towards getting you home.

I want to caution, though, that I think they may be even more hesitant to discharge than normal if they have any concerns at all about your ability to manage, since they won't want to risk you hurting yourself and ending up in a&e or needing to be readmitted, so showing them that you are able and prepared to cope with the challenges in the community right now may help.

If your cat is being well taken care of by them and has been for 9+ months, then she's probably okay for now. It sucks that she can't be with you, but all of her needs are being met and that is what is most important.

I believe your country is on a lockdown, like many others. That means that older folks aren't supposed to be going out or seeing other people. So it's safest for them to stay home with her right now. It's good they are taking necessary precautions to keep themselves safe and healthy.

You can't always keep it separate.
This is happening, this is part of you.

Oh that's great! I hope you manage well on your own at home. Do you have plans for how you'll cope with the lockdown and not seeing people in person?

I'm glad you got what you wanted/needed and I hope you're able to settle. Do you have any support at all?

How are you managing without seeing people? I know lots of people are struggling with the limited professional contact and then not being able to see friends or family on top of that.

Well I've been seeing my friend a bit but that's all really. I'm not struggling with a lack of professional contact because the professionals are not helpful anyway.
