I've found Open Uni pretty good.

I also did a course with BSY but I didn't find it as challenging or productive. One of the hardest things I found with BSY was that their courses are open ended with no deadlines and I think I personally work better if I have a deadline. However, I can see for some people it could work well for them.

This is a free course on the Social Context of Mental Health and Illness

https://www.coursera.org/course/mentalhealth

You could always try the Open University, however you need to be very motivated to learn online. There's no-one around to motivate you.

Are you looking for an actual degree, or just the knowledge?

Our local libraries have signed up to a free selection of online courses, purely for enjoyment.
I'm doing a poetry one [they do all sorts] and it's been good, but right now I'n stuck, emailed the instructor, and she said she doesn't know how to help. :\

The local college here has a 'Leisure Learning' course on Introducing Psychology.

There are several online places, of varying levels that offer quality courses, the NEC [National extension college] has a Psychology iGCSE and GCSE I believe as well as A-Level Psychology.

The OU has various Psychology modules at Higher Education level and they can range from 10 credits [roughly equivalent to 100 hours of study] to 60 credits [600 hours]. They do short courses that are the 10 credit ones for people new to psychology or new to HE.

I'd do some research, but these are the best places I have had experiance with.

If you're just looking to learn, but don't need a degree at the end, try www.saylor.org
I'm currently using it to learn stuff. It's free.

yes, they organise courses based around materials that universities provide for free through open course ware? So you're getting the same level of education as you would in university, but for free and with no degree. I really like it.
