Joining the Supporters and Contacting the Supporters

Hi guys,

Joining the Supporters *Deadline: Sunday 16th March, Midnight*
The Supporters are looking for new team members, and we'd love you guys to put your names forward if you'd like to join the team. If you're thinking of joining, just comment on this thread or send me a PM.

The Supporters are sometimes quite elusive - we're not coloured unlike the mods - and we're just ordinary members of RYL. The Supporters are responsible for manning Live Help and answering emails (we answer up to 500 a month) as well as monitoring the forums and replying to threads.

Important elements of being a Supporter are to
  • Be Active
To become a Supporter you are likely to be an active member of the community and it's important to maintain this.
We do have a minimum activity level requirement for people to remain on the team.
  • Team Player
On the team, we work together and it's important that members can work as part of this team.
  • Maturity
There is no minimum age to become a Supporter, but a level of maturity to deal with the challenges a Supporter faces, is needed.
All matter on the Supporters boards must maintain 100% confidential.
  • Reasonably Stable
While we accept that members will be ill from time to time, a degree of stability is needed as the Supporters often receive very difficult and upsetting emails, and can include information that may be very triggering, and it is important that this is not something that will be detrimental to your own health.
After all the names are submitted, the Supporters will vote and those with the highest number of votes will be invited to join the team. If you are interested, either send me a PM or reply to this thread.

Best of luck everyone!

Contacting the Supporters
Live Help is back up and running but due to time constraints, and the small number of people who are currently able to operate Live Help, it is not always online. Live Help works like MSN or Facebook chat in that you talk 1-to-1 with an experienced member of the Supporters. If Live Help is offline, you are always welcome to leave us a message and someone will reply to you within 24 hours (usually not more than a few hours).

Take care,

The Supporters

so while you can take a picture of us.
We're definitely going to hell,
but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

I have always been interested in this, I spend hours online every day, I only have a phone and tablet, would that be an issue? I can definitely reply to emails if nothing else.

Some people find replying to emails more difficult on a phone (smaller) but a tablet would definitely be fine; there's no real reason to need a computer aside from personal choice. :)

I have no problems with my emails on a phone or tablet it's just thins like live chat could freeze and not work...or similarly could be absolutely fan-dabby-dozy.

I have had problems with live chats before on my iPad, although that was for a different website; could be a different story here.

If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do, what I'm about to do today?

I think it'll be fine - there's apps for both windows and apple things.

So now a vote is taken? Do you know when the results of that vote are expected?
