costs?
just a small inquiry- how much is the average antidepressant perscription?
i live in canada but i really don't know how the health care system would incorporate these type of meds-
if you're from anywhere any ballpark figure would be great- just say what country your from.... i can convert it just so i can see if i can pay for meds myself
sorry for the inconvenience
thanks

It depends if you have insurance. Most insurance companies I've had will have a copay of fifteen-twenty dollars. I don't know if you have Medicaid in Canada, but I'm in the US and only have to pay one dollar for my medications. If you don't have any type of insurance it could be quite expensive. But I really don't know how the health care system works in Canada.

In the UK all medication is subsidised by the NHS so you pay per prescription/item.
In England a prescription is about £7.50
In Wales a prescription is free (I think!)
In Scotland a prescription is roughly £4
and I have no idea about Northern Ireland!

I'm in the U.S., we have insurance that covers all but about $1 per refill. It's an offbrand; the namebrands are more. The only difference is the fillers.

I am in the UK and do not pay for my prescriptions as I come under NHS exemption. So, the NHS pays for my medicines.
I do know that Venlalic (cheaper form of of Venlafaxine) is around about £69 for a month's supply.
