Un-Hiding things on your computer?

Alright, so I like to write a lot, but I'm kind of embarassed about showing people the stuff I write, so when I save my stories on the computer, I use the "make document hidden" option to hide the files so my boyfriend doesn't get on here and read them.

Problem is, I hid one of my latest and I can't find it again. Usually, I can use "run program" and type in "storyname.txt" and it will pop up, but I must have mispelled it or something when I saved it because that isn't working now.

So my question is, do any of you know how to make hidden folders public again? Because I'm gonna be pretty irritated if my story is lost in the abyss somewhere because i'm an idiot and can't find it. >_<

Well, if you log in as an admisitrator, you can see them.

Otherwise, your buggered as far as I know.

Apparently it is possible but, WOAH it's something waaaaay beyond me.
After search on google for about 3 seconds, I dicovered you need to convert your HD in FAT32, then the security right for it will be gone.
But you can't go from NTFS to FAT32 because data will be lost.

I have NO idea what that means!
