I hope it helps. I guess for me since I have my service dog that in itself draws attention and signals I may need extra help or act in odd ways. Like with anything it's about weighing the pros and cons. Is the anxiety surrounding having something more visible to identify the disability worth the extra help and understanding it may bring? For some folks the answer may be no. I know for me it just depends on the situation. I don't take my dog everywhere and it just comes down to what is best for her and what is best for me in each individual situation.
You can't always keep it separate.
This is happening, this is part of you.
Thanks Lindsay I hope so too. I wont be wearing it every time I go out but when I feel extra support is needed.
