I'm having this problem at the moment. Was prescribed sertraline earlier this week but already take naproxen for migraines which is an (nsaid) non steroidal anti inflammatory diclafenic. Went back and asked at reception of doctors what I should take instead. I now need to wait a week for a meds review phonecall and have been told not to take any painkillers until then. I hope I don't have a migraine before then as I can't do my job with one and cannot afford any more time off sick.

That sounds really annoying for you; it does sound like the best thing to do is follow the advice given by the doctors. Do you have a specific appointment for the meds review phone call or are they just going to get in touch in a week? Fingers crossed you don't get a migraine!

I would speak to a pharmacist
I work in a pharmacy and know people who take neproxin and sertraline together.
Would be worth speaking to the pharmacist as you'll get advice straight away and they may be able to suggest something you can buy over the counter till you see your Dr
