WOULD YOU RATHER?
1. Have Ron as a friend OR Have Hermione as a friend?
An amalgamation of their best traits? So somewhere in between the two. Luna basically.
2. Fight a Basilisk OR Fight a Dementor?
Find a dementor, both to know what my deepest fear is as knowledge is best and to know I can overcome it, and how. #cheesefest
3. Spend a week with Dudley Dursley OR A week with Kreacher the house elf?
Kreacher, his muttering away to himself would give a LOT of insight into the original Order and even further back in time
4. Be a Quidditch keeper OR Be a Quidditch beater?
Beater, I adored Rounders as a kid.
5. Be sorted into Ravenclaw OR Be sorted into Hufflepuff?
Gyffindor. #stubbornarse
I can be wise but am not good at actually producing anything much solid from that, so not Ravenclaw. I supposedly have traits of Hufflepuff...
6. Have an invisibility cloak OR Have a time-turner?
Definitely invisibility cloak. Can be a fly on the wall, and understand so much more just by overhearing conversations. Don't f*ck with time. That f*ck can get ****ed up very quickly.
7. Receive a howler in front of your friends OR Eat a vomit flavour bean?
I've eaten a vomit flavoured bean already, I'm sure, as an 11 year old when they had Bertie Botts on sale in Sainsburys. So that leaves Howler.
8. Attend the Yule Ball OR Attend the Qudditch World Cup?
QUIDDITCH WORLD CUP IS THIS EVEN A QUESTION??????
9. Spend an afternoon in the Burrow, with the Weasley's OR Spend an afternoon in Diagon Alley?
OOOH, difficult. The warmth of being in Molly Wesley's kitchen, sat by the fire, or out exploring and having so much fun in DA. Hmm. Both? I'm bi, so I'm greedy like that
10. Have Severus Snape as your father OR Delores Umbridge as your mother?
F*ckkk. Neither. Snape I guess. Then I could try and at least chip away at his dire need to control Lily, expound upon that weird appears-to-be-love-but-is-really-possessiveness. Dolores there's no hope of ever changing. And I never say that about anyone.
11. Have a pet Hippogriff OR Have a pet Phoenix?
I'd have a pet Phoenix. See its growth and rebirth and the cute chirpiness of its baby chirps. And it's beautiful bold colourful feathers once grown. But I'd love to travel on a Hippogriff over the Lake. Or a Threstral. Or dragon. All three.
12. Take a class in Potions OR Takes a class in Caring for Magical Creatures?
CfMC. They'd be such animals to respect and stand in awe of but also potentially cuddly and little balls of fluff, even the Blast-Ended-Skewts
13. Have a flying broomstick OR Have an enchanted flying car?
Broomstick!! Feeling that wind in my hair and move with its movements, going at crazy speed and doing loop the loop!!!
14. Be a werewolf like Remus Lupin OR Be a ghost like Nearly-Headless Nick?
Werewolf. I'd have an epic howl. Being a ghost would be so isolating, like being behind that curtain that Siruius fell behind in Ministry of Magic or being behind a wall of glass. Living half a life. #deep
15. Spend a week lost in The Forbidden Forest OR Spend a day in Azkaban?
Day in Azkaban, knowledge of other occupants is power. A week in pure suspense in the FF would kill me off, I can't watch a funny thriller, I'd have no chance
16. Play Quidditch OR Play Wizards Chess?
Play Quidditch, every time. I can watch WC and get enjoyment out of it that way.
17. Be a teacher at Hogwarts OR Be an Auror?
Auror, definitely. I've always said if being a teacher became like conscription for the army I would be terrified. I'd make a rubbish teacher. If it was a one to one tutor I'd like it. But Auror, 'always'.
18. Have Hagrid as a friend OR Have Dobby as a friend?
Hard. Big cuddly friendly bear.
19. Change the story so Dumbledore doesn't get killed OR Change the story so Sirius doesn't get killed?
Sirius. Poor Harry got two years, TWO YEARS. with the man who was his Dad's best friend. What a crying shame for the two of them. And for him to be locked away for the supposed breaking of secret information leading to murder of his very best friend, and locked away from the world. Wtf. Dumbledore NEEDED to die, just like Harry 'had' (hmmm) to. I always knew from book 4 that when Harry finally faced Voldemort it'd be as a man, not with the help of anyone, but alone. Had to be a fight between the two of them and no-one else. Dumbledore had his life. He was old. He shaped Harry for a lamb to the slaughter. It was a carthtic journey for him, having never forgiven himself for his involvement in Ariannas being an obscurus.
20. Spend an hour talking with J.K. Rowling OR Spend an hour talking with Daniel Radcliffe?
J. K. Rowling, every time. Where would I start though???
