Not really as it is unlikely to be effective at the lowered dose. With antibiotics you need to take them as they say and if you get side effects, sickness is a common one, then you should contact the doctor and they'll prescribe you something different. You may or may not have to see if you contact the surgery and say that you're getting side effects and what they are then they may ask you to see the doctor, the doctor may ring you back, or it could be that as they saw you so recently they just write out another prescription for you as it's regarding the same thing.
With antibiotics, it's not like painkillers. The drug has to be above a cerain level in the part of the body that it needs to fight the bacteria to be effective. For that to work the drug needs to be taken at a certain level and if taken below this it may be totally ineffective or if it works it's likely to only work against the weaker ones and so not clear it up completely and end up with a more resistant strain of bacteria which you don't want.
