I used to frequent vets a couple of years back but life circumstances made me lose touch so yeah, hello both new and old vets.

Chickens are proper awesome, though one of ours has disappeared today, which is a bit worrying, we don't know where she's gone :S

Having said that, I'm working at 4pm today and am sat here in a dressing gown, with wet hair, with a cat on my knee - I swear I've had a cat (different cats) on my knee for about four hours of today - and I've only been awake five!

Ah ha. But thing is he's going through this phase where he actually wants to get rid of me. It's complicated and to do with his parents' separation. He's also 5. [Oedipus stuff, further complicated by his parents' separation, as Freud would say!]

He does a lot of drawings with me blown to pieces, and pushes me around, and wrote about killing me. And he loves his Mum 'forever and ever'. It's all rather uncomfortable. But I understand it, so.

Wow, this thread has doubled in size since I last looked. Hello to all. I hope those of you that were up at daft-o-clock this morning didn't suffer too much for it :)

I've just got back from London, which was less trying than I thought it would be, and am considering doing a REALLY old person thing and taking a nap. Mmmm... naps....

Also, I'm jealous of everyone's pets. I have none but it's my ambition to become a crazy cat lady (we had a thread for it ages ago.)

Well, I got sent home earlier than others, because I was exhausted... It was also weird early this morning still being half sedated from my med last night. I couldn't walk straight. It was embarrassing! But I don't think anyone noticed...

mmm a nap would be good. I'm waiting until bedtime though, because otherwise I won't sleep then.

sorry to quote you again but people mistake my meds after effects for being drunk. thats embarrassing. you're swaying everywhere, bumping into things but desperately trying to follow an imaginary straight line!

Nah, it's ok. :) I didn't realise you thought he was grown up. But no, he's 5. Well, 5 going on 15 sometimes, but yes!

I alerted the folks I was working with to the weird effects, and it was ok... so that was good!
