Sorry about the infection, I hope it clears up soon.
I can totally sympathise about the time difference thing - last year I was in Vietnam and never online at the same time as anyone else. It was only when I moved back to Europe that I found it easier to meet people.

Lol! I was going to say something related to that post but didn't think I knew everyone well enough yet!
Btw, hi Shine! I'm Beth x
I thought it deserved a mention, however well I knew you all!
And I realised, just then, I never said my name. It's Annabelle, though I am known more about the forums as Belle! Hi Beth *waves*!

My class are 7-10 year olds and I just dislike everything about them, the discipline issues, the mind-numbing banality of the text book, the lack of appreciation. Adults are sooooo much nicer to teach.
5:30am is a fairly uncivilised time!
And I really want to teach primary school kids, so that might be a tad different to you!

Hello, I'm Amanda. I think I joined the forums when I was 21 or 22 and am 23 now so I haven't been around too long...
I honestly used to think that Veterans was for...well you know, actual war veterans. You now have permission to laugh at (er, with) me.
Uh...I have no significant other (nor have I really or will I in the future) so I guess I always feel too immature to be around people my own age. But I guess much younger people are in relationships too...so I guess I feel too immature around other people in general.
Instead of getting married liked I'm apparently supposed to, I'm getting a bunch of degrees instead. I'm 25% of the way through 3 out of 4 degrees at the moment. Too bad having more than one degree is detrimental to people getting a job in America anymore (the government is trying to destroy my career field and you can't get other jobs if you're too overqualified) so I'm pretty sure I'm going to be left with nothing in the end except maybe a Dr. in front of my name.
I also have some silly idea of starting a band before I get too old...fortunately, most people's first impression of me is that I'm 19 instead of 23 look wise. I guess that's a good thing...That and having a band/studio recordings will apparently help me in landing a solid job if the whole band thing doesn't work out.
Gah! My future looks so bleak and lonely!
But...uh, sorry for my story becoming a rant and...hi.
My scan is on Monday. In all seriousness.. im so excited you'll probably see the pictures every time you click a thread on RYL.
Ive got bets with the other half about whether or not he will cry.
I'm so glad that you're excited by it :) Good luck on le Monday! Geez, what day is it today?
Also, hi thread :)
My name is Jenna and I am a student, and hoping to start working part-time too, so then I'll be like a real grown up.
All of a sudden I've come over all shy and don't know what to say.

That amused me a lot amanda, I have to say :p
When I was younger, there was a vets' team at my mother's tennis club, and I always thought that one had to be veterinarian to be in it...
I'm Amy/Ami (use either spelling) :waves:
20, soon to be 21 and a student.
Single, Christian, Songwriter, Music lover, Photographer.
That's about it I think...
Look what happens when you wander off for 5 minutes!
Hi all, I'm Beth!
Love that emoticon Jenna! Hi Amanda - my dad always told me to get whatever qualifications I could - you can leave some you've got out but you can't add any you haven't!
You're going to have to post pics now Charlie!
Can't feed rabbits at more civilised hour sefka, last time I tried, fell in the mud in my work clothes! Not a good look!

Hi..... I am Claire.... :D Veterans does sound a bit old and I was concerned that despite my advancing years I was too young for it....however I am 23. I am a student in my second year of Psyc and Youth Studies degree.......
Small animals scare me a little......does anyone have dogs???
Hi Mike! I've seen quite a few of your posts, you seem to be a nice fella!
Derp OH HAI!
You all can call me Erin. I found RYL when I was 21. I'm 21.
I post all over RYL, on various boards.
Sometimes, I like to be silly, but I'm also pretty serious about it all.
Little bit about the adult stuffs: I married at 18, and though I'm still legally married, we're separated. Uhm, I'm a full time student, studying chemical dependency counseling, and I work in a mental health clinic. I'm also a rape survivor.
Now, I'm diagnosed/labeled with depression and borderline personality disorder.
I probably still have a touch of ADHD
I started to SH when I was about 16.
Feel free to visit my ryl profile and add me on Facebook, err whatever.
