I'm 20 years old... from California. I'm an Art Major in College, with a focus on Psychology. I Hope to be an Art Therapist (when i grow up lol).

I read... a lot. I've been in musical theatre since i could walk. singing and tap dancing is my idea of a good time. lol
Even though Art is my passion, its also something i struggle with. I cant look at my finished peices. they are always put away immediately or thrown away. I didnt use color in my art until last year... i was afraid of it, and everything was black and white... which is probably weird. lol but oh well...
I love taking pictures, but hate being in them...
I listen to the same song on repeat for hours at a time....
I'm really quiet. and think way too much!!!
but at the same time laugh and joke a lot.
I'm at a stage in my life, where i want to be positive about things, no matter how hard they are. Even though I know i may not always have that outlook on life, trying gives me something to focus on.
um... I was introduced to a game called Dance Dance Revolution last year, and have become obsessed with it lol. i think its the best video game invented.. does that make me a nerd?
mm... I have a teacup poodle and a kitten. Lucy and AnnaBelle. They're my babies and i absolutely adore them.
....I'm a poor college student.lol..

I'm Alys and i'm 14. I talk a lot of random stuff, and i babble on a lot.
allow me to demonstrate:
Now that that is cleared up :) I'm Alys, I'm 14, and i suck at rounders. So do the rest of our team. I love random days in school, Turps the seal was the best. I hate geography - on my exam i wrote that Bangladesh was in central america - i obviously had that right. I love going out with my friends on a saturday - quite literally the highlight of my week. beaching it all summer! i have a serious caffeine addiction. whatever happened to proper stuff? Like real shopping. with money. i cant remember when i last did that. well, i can, saturday, but i only spent £20 so i dont think that really counts. plus i was with my dad! ahaha. My dad rocks :) I like the rocket summer, they're really really good. Bryce Avary is amazing. I like paramore too, i want to see them again. hayley wlliams is hot. A lot of girls are hot.

Two things most people notice about me:
1) I adore animals, they are seriously my life.
2) I like hugs. If you ever need a hug, just ask. I need to hug nearly everyone I see, Hi isn't good enough pour moi (most of the time, I do get grumpy sometimes though).
Another few things, as you can see from the above sentence, I do like to sometimes randomly say a few words in French when I talk about something. Gives people something to think about.
I love things to be neat and tidy, but most of the time I'm actually too lazy to organise anything. Take my computer desk for example...
I don't like holidays, but I adore staying in hotels!
I like darkness a lot better than brightness. I also like to sit in corners. Or wardrobes, if I can get away with it.
And finally, you might like to know that I'm just plain odd.

I can't tell you how thrilled I am to see this here, I was so dissapointed in never knowing anyone outside of their eating disorder from the old RYL. I'm quite liking the upgrade.
I'm Swing. My life is a steady pendulum between dancing and singing. I act on the occasion, and working with small children is most deffinatly a passion of mine. I try to make a bit of peace in the world, watching other people smile makes me incredibly happy. I love the rain... and well... swing sets :)

i can be quiet until you get to know me, and am generally more of lurker than anything. but i am trying to get out of that habit. i like sitting in random places, like under my chair, desk, in corners and any other small confined spaces; they make me feel safe. i think im rambling now...

I used to be on RYL and my former username was mixedupteen, but I haven't been around for quite a while so I doubt many people will remember me.
So, a bit about myself...
I'm 16 (and, sadly, I can honestly say "sweet sixteen and never been kissed"!). I live in Western Australia and go to boarding school, which is great except they block all websites with the word "forum" in the address so I can't access RYL while I'm there. Grrr.
My main hobbies are reading and writing, and I spend a lot of time on the internet. I don't do any sports, as I am terrible at all of them! I also enjoy cleaning (weird, I know!).
I'm a good student, a bit of a neat-freak, and I've never had a detention in my life. In other words, I'm a goody-two-shoes! I do, however, have my days when I just can't resist breaking the rules...like when I decide to hide in my cupboard at boarding rather than go to the compulsory kareoke night! Hehe.
I'm naturally a quiet person but once I start writing it becomes impossible to shut me up, and I love having correspondence with people via the net. Ive just finished my A levels and Im hoping to apply for medicine in September. Im doing a gap year next yr 2 try and get my health good enough to be accepted onto a medical degree and doing some work hopefully as a nursing assistant in maternity care too.
Aside from that I love working with children, I run a Brownie Guide unit, I enjoy playing the violin, drama, creative writing, running, reading general stuff really. I love the colour pink and fluffy things and my cats.
Im very quiet and a total perfectionist. I do a lot of work trying to raise awareness of mental health stuff, esp with young people.
