The ground is shaking underneath;
air full of ashes, so hard to breathe.
I feel its sorrow inside my bones,
turning innocence into black stones.
The storm rages on as the
underground comes to life
Poor, starving people relieved from
their time of strife.
Something new is
coming from underneath,
Air full of ashes,
it's so hard to breathe.
Lives are burning, shriveling, dying out,
Emotions raging, most they could do without.
A demon rises out from the depths.
With it, it brings stories of death.
Something new is
coming from underneath,
Air full of ashes,
it's so hard to breathe.
Only one stands on top of it all,
Only one who can stop the fall,
Relinquishes terror,
Relinquishes trust,
and leaves their home to ashes and rust.
Abandoned, left out, pushed
Underneath,
Air full of ashes it's so hard to breathe.
Before, life was so
wonderful and loving,
Now all that's left is the
ashes and sputtering,
The ones who once lived here
had to evacuate,
the demon wreaked havoc with
No good to compensate
A city of hope,
Buried deep underneath,
Rubble and ashes,
it's so hard to breathe.
A perfect world
cannot be saved underneath
A life full of ashes,
