Favourite methods of self-care?

When I get stressed I get depressed and feel like I am hopeless and worthless, which leads me to SI. To help stop that before I get to that point, I use self-care. I know tomorrow is going to be a very stressful day for me, I'm going to try to set up some things to come home to after class. My favourite forms of self-care are:

Bubble baths. (so I'll have the bath clean and ready and a towel waiting when I get home)
Tea and hot drinks (easy cheesy. I have an instant tea maker)
Snuggling in bed (so I always make my bed before I go to class)
Movies (on my tablet)

Since tomorrow I might need a bit extra help, could you give me some ideas? What are your favourite forms of self-care?

I think it is great that you are thinking ahead and planning things out to reduce the stress. :)

When I need to do something comforting I usually watch a kids' show or a sitcom. It is entertaining and makes me laugh and reminds me of happy memories. I also like to listen to songs from when I was a kid or teenager as they again remind me of a lot of happy things, and I sometimes sing and dance along as that is fun to do. :)

I think this is a great thread and well done for planning ahead :)

I'm very much like you so might not be great at suggestions because I love to have a nice bath with something added for an extra treat like a bath bomb, then get in to clean pyjamas then in to bed with clean sheets and snuggle down to watch a film/tv series or read an easy-going book.

Great idea for a thread :)

I like giving myself hand/foot massages after bathing, then maybe a manicure/pedicure after. Or making home made face scrubs, there's tons of recipes for face scrubs online. Also, getting into to bed with clean sheets, lighting candles or incense too, and listening to music or watching tv shows/films can be really nice.

I like applying moisturiser, doing my nails, bubble baths, and makeup!

My best method of self-care is my favourite combination of things. I light candles, burn incense (obv be careful if you burn) and paint my nails whilst listening to this hilarious podcast by Chris Stark off of the Scott Mills show on Radio 1.

But really candles are the best thing ever:)!

Awesome thread idea.

For you to be here now trillions of drifting atoms had somehow to assemble in an intricate and intriguingly obliging manner to create you. It's an arrangement so specialized and particular that it has never been tried before and will only exist this once. That is of course the miracle of life.
