Hiya all. I can't remember whether I've introduced myself here, so if I have I'll do it again, and if I haven't then I'll do it for the first time.
My name's Kahlia and I turned 27 on September 26. I have schizophrenia and bipolar disorders which began when I was 14 or so. I used to be anorexic and bulimic but have mostly won the battle with both of them. I've survived quite a number of things including rape and the suicide's of two boyfriends and two best friends.
I've been battling the SH for 13 years now and my friends think I have symptoms of OCD and just recently severe agoraphobia.
I was studying Information Technology part-time at my local university ... but was finding the course too easy. I HD'd every subject that I attempted for the last year and a half, and withdrew this semester with the intention of studying down in Brisbane at QUT (Qld University of Technology). I'm now not heading down to Brisbane for at least another 12 months so I'm filling my time with my private study of programming languages.

I've been on RYL as phoenix for over a year now and previously spent about 2 years on the old RYL site......
Basicaly i've had quite a harsh introduction to adulthood and think my experiences thoughts and humour might make more sense here.

Well its been well over a year since I have been back here so I've created a new account. I am 20 now, I first joined back when I was (estimating) about 16, and if I recall correctly it was called Ruin Your Life. I am currently enrolled in University, I am in my 3rd year and will probably end up taking 2 more. I still self harm although I have had my good weeks and terrible weeks. I am looking forward to getting back on the forums more often and perhaps working with some of my problems and even better maybe help someone else out. I am always up for talking and my inbox is always open.
In short I first started self harming when I was about 12 or 13, I was very depressed although it was another year or so before it was officially diagnosed. I have been seeing a psychiatrist for many years now (roughly 6) and have since been lying about my mood and the fact that I do still cut. In the past year or so I have developed (although still not quite fully admitting it) an alcohol problem. It is not WAY WAY out of hand but it definitely hasn`t made things any easier. I don`t really know what else to say, if anyone wants to know anything, just ask or PM me. Good to be back RYL, very good to be back.
hello! I'm Lizz/Bwana, I'm 19, turn 20 in Feb, and I'm currently going to college to become a Speech Pathologist. I am trying to quit SI-ing and have problems with depression and anxiety. I have been a member of RYL for I think two years on and off... maybe more, and I just realized that this forum existed.... lol
I want to go into the therapy part of Speech Pathology, hopefully end up working in a school helping children with speech impediments learn to form the letters right.
