When is an acceptable time to sleep?

Just a random question!

When is an acceptable time to go to bed for an adult?
My sleep pattern has never been 'normal' so I'm not sure what the average time for sleep is!

I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!

Who else is fine?!?!?

And Sophia is not allowed to answer because she doesn't ever sleep.

I was actually just having this same thought. :p

I do sleep. I just require less sleep than humans. :p now might be a good chance to start yourself in a good sleep routine.

I'm usually in bed by 10pm! I start to feel very tired from 8pm onwards, and by 9.30 I'm kind of nearly asleep so I start to get ready for bed and take my night meds. Usually get into bed at 10pm and fall asleep straight away (yay meds!).

I'd say go to bed whenever you feel tired and able to sleep. Though if you end up getting to 3am and you don't feel tired then I'd say you need to go to bed to lie down even if you don't sleep! But if you want to go to bed at 8pm and you'd sleep then go for it!

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

I go to bed after midnight but I don't think that's sensible!

Anytime you are tired and can sleep through is fine really.

I think if I were being sensible I'd go to bed about 10.30 with the aim of being asleep around 11.

All the time! I actually don't sleep as much as I used to, I've kind of (almost) rejoined the human race instead of sleeping my life away, but I'm still usually up most or all of the night.

I would say, whatever is good for you, watch and see what time you usually get tired, and also how much sleep you need to function the following day, and work it out from that I guess.

A world without Light would be dark.

Depends on the person and when you have to get up.

I tend to be more of night person than an morning person so would ideally sleep 1 am - 10/11 am. Unfortunately that doesn't go down so well for work so I tend to sleep 10.30/11 - 8 during the week and 12-9.30 at the weekend (so not to get quite out of routine). If I get the opportunity I like to indulge in the night time and will stay up until the early hours and there are other times when I am craving a good sleep and will head to bed at like 8.30/9

Really depends on how much rest you can survive on and what time you wake up. When I was working mornings, I was sleeping at 12-1 and waking up at 5 to be at work at 6 am.

I go to bed 2 hours after my night meds so if I take them at 7pm imm in bed by 9pm but if I take them at 12 im in bed by 2am just depends on when I take my meds.
generally when im home I try to go to bed about 10-11pm just because that seems a good "adult" time to go to bed.

The average,
well-adjusted adult
gets up at 7.30am feeling just plain terrible.

About 3am & that's even with work the next day! I just don't need much sleep, 4 or 5 hours a night is normal for me. But I'd say the average amount of sleep most people need would be 8-9.

The past can hurt. But you can either run from it, or learn from it.

I work in 2 bars, it's unlikely I'll even be home by 11pm if it's a day I'm working! Usually about 2am on a work night.

Depends when you need to get up :p . I usually go to bed at 10.30ish on a work night, my partner comes to bed at 11ish, we both get up at 5.30 for work. On a weekend though it can be anywhere between 10 and 3am depending on if we get distracted by a game or something oonline, and on how tiring a week we've had. Like last night I went to bed at 10 as had a long week, I have no idea whn he went to bed though

I am starting to feel like RYL is the wrong place to ask that question, Beckie!
I think I usually go to sleep between 4 and 8 am, sometimes I am just awake until noon though and sleep until 8 pm or sth.

Yeah. Not many people here would have an 'average' sleep pattern it seems!

I miss the nights that I'd just stay awake or go for days without sleeping. I felt that I have much more energy from not sleeping. If that makes sense at all!
I'm in bed by 10 these days :/

I LOVED being able to go without sleep for a few days. My body won't do it these days anymore though. After 30 hrs without sleep I will just get cranky and have a nervous breakdown or sth. Rude.
