One more day and I'll be back at home. At least I have my job to keep me busy. As well as running my online business, and I've gotten really into photography lately - so busy I haven't really thought much of drinking, other than the fact that I'm going home and tend to relapse when I go there.
BUT with me being as busy as I am, hopefully I'll be able to stay sober. Four months next week!
Is it normal to be Dog Tired one day after you stop drinking?
Because I did and I do.
Happy May !

About a year ago I was spoken to the doctor that I was drinking too much. It had only been a matter of time until he mentioned it. I drink only after 9pm. It is a strict rule. But after that I drink until I fall asleep, and alcohol makes me stay awake to drink more
My flatmate has alcohol problems but won't admit it. He always comes out with "im not an alcoholic, alcoholics go to meetings. im just a drunk." and then laughs about it.
I think he has psychological issues anyway, and then drinking doesn't really help matters at all.
He gets so low when he's sober. He's in his 30's and has his first 'proper' job and he says now he wants to quit and just stay at home all day. He said he'd be much happier just being a bum.
He goes to bed around 6am at weekends and says the only way he can sleep is if he gets blind drunk. He got his wages on Thursday and owed me rent money but went out and went to a bar alone. His friend was planning an intervention at 10pm but he went there at 6, and got drunk first, so his friend said there was no reasoning with him. He went to another bar till midnight. And then a club until it shut at 3am, and then the casino until they stopped serving drink at 6am. I don't know how much he spent but he now can't pay me anything towards the bills until his next wage.
At the moment I'm not working. I have savings but it makes me angry to have to use my money when he earns £20,000 a year and just wastes it.
I'm his friend but not close enough to speak to him about it. He's making me really unhappy :(
