There's something called a "functioning addict" and that sounds kind of similar to what you're describing. I mean, you didn't go into much detail with your job, home life, etc to know whether or not you'd be considered a "functioning addict" but usually, they figure that because they can still go to work, and their drug/alcohol use isn't interfering with daily life. I apologize if this is just me making assumptions. It's just the first thing I thought of when I read your post.
