"Global warming" is a misnomer, and I often refuse to read articles that print it. Whilst there may be an overall warming effect, not every part of the world is warming up. Several glaciers are actually growing, as an example. Around the 1970s it was quite a popular belief that the world was cooling (due to aerosol particles), and that we were coming to the end of our current interglacial period. Things change.
The world will continue on, and will work to find an equilibrium with itself due to the feedback systems. Whether or not that suits human habitation is a different story altogether.
