I am currently:
Is a Dr the right person to see?

In the last few months I've been noticing something quite strange.

I'm not sure if it's neurological, mental health or some kind of learning disability and weather I should ask my gp?

I am already diagnosed with dyslexia so have some processing issues. However these new symptoms seem different and only started a few months ago.

Basically I've noticed that I'm slugging to recognise faces. This has never been a problem before. I've always been good with faces (it's usually names I struggle with).
But I've been noticing that I just struggle so much to recognise people I've seen loads of times before. It's as if we have never met.

Also I'm finding it hard to process instructions and explain things.
I work in health care and have always been good at communicating. But I seem to not be able to explain myself properly a lot of the time (I don't even know if I'm explaining this clearly).
It like I know what I mean but can't explain it.
I often leave people feeling more confused in my attempts to explain what I mean which is really frustrating for both parties.
Also if someone gives me an instruction I struggle to understand what they are asking me to do.

I'm not sure if this makes sense.

I just know that there seems to be either a delay or malfunction in my processing of faces and information. It seems to be mostly with verbal communication and processing.

It's not something I've struggled with before as a product of my dyslexia but has been getting worse over the last few months.

I'm not sure if this is relevant but in that time I have also lost a lot of weight (with no known cause) and been having daily headaches, however my general mental health seems very good and stable.

I'm not totally convinced it's a medical issue but apart from my gp I'm unsure who to approach.

The average,
well-adjusted adult
gets up at 7.30am feeling just plain terrible.

Call me Kate.

I have dyslexia so please excuse my poor spelling and sometimes poor understanding.
