You should just keep it covered, and let it heal up. They generally wont stitch you up after they have been open 12 hours because of the risk of infection, that may be why it wasnt even steristriped.

I dont think it would be the tubi grip as you can usually feel if it is too tight. It could just be part of the tendonitis, which will only get better with rest.....if you are concernced and it lasts...
