How can I adjust to change?

I've never been able to adapt to any kind of change. I tend to dwell in the past and keep things as same and as routine as possible.
Well tonight I've decided to ask for some kind of guidance or help...

But my scars are EXTREMELY noticeable. Especially on the front of my thighs. Their pretty noticeable on my stomach and shoulder but not as bad as my thighs....
