Sick of being sick
So I embark on another sleepless night...beautiful boyfriend is sick and asleep, beatiful pets are sleeping next to him.
Ive had bulimia for soooooooooo long, since i was 10 or 12 and i am now 21. Im a personal trainer and i run my own dance school so you can see why I feel i am a fraud. I am also in a cycle of illegal misdemeanours on the weekend which Im not surre we can dicuss on here but i need help. The countless phychiatrists and psychologists and counsellors have never been able to help me recover from my shame and I am not even 100% sure I want too. This is hard but I need some guidance, I feel lost and dirty and fake. I used to self harm and I was highly suicidal a few years ago...I have not resumed self harming but my thoughts ahve been getting worse and worse in this spout of depression. I just got back from a holiday in Thailand and I started getting very down when I was away...the feelings ahve excaserbated since Ive been home and I am at my whits end because I just want to be happy and enjoy life again. I dont know where to turn as I know what to do I just cant seem to do it. |

Everyone here is really supportive so I'm sure you'll get the support you need. I'm also a dancer and teach dance to young children and suffer with an eating disorder, so I know exactly how you feel in terms of feeling like a fraud. First of I just want to say hon-that you're not dirty or a fake. You've come here to get help for an illness which I think is very strong of you. You're certainly not a fraud either-the rate of eating disorders among dancers is higher than in the general population so your certainly not alone as you can even see from this thread. You may feel at your wits end right now but let me tell you it is possible to recover no matter how long you have been suffering.
