MammaMia 27-05-2009 12:00 PM

Snow White. 27-05-2009 12:03 PM

You should do it, if you're able to you should :)

Left. 27-05-2009 12:04 PM

Yeah i do it.
i honestly think its one of the best feelings once you have done it, the fact that you may in fact, save a life.

But its entirely up to the individual :)

xx

I wouldn't mind doing it, but I can't for a few reasons.

~Kaytee~ 27-05-2009 12:19 PM

I want to.. but can't at the moment either =[ One day :D I have a not so common blood type so really really want to :D

confuzzled 27-05-2009 12:39 PM

You should go if you're able to do it. I can't, but i'd love to! =)

BeautyFiend 27-05-2009 12:49 PM

'Does anyone actually do this?'
Uh, yes millions of people all around the world :-p
I do it because I have one of the rarer blood times.
Plus, you get free tea and biscuits =D

Frenemies 27-05-2009 12:50 PM

I want to. Since my mom was taken into hospital and needed a blood transfusion, and the whole time I was sat staring at the blood pack, thinking without someone giving that she wouldn't have made it, makes you realise how much you take things for granted really.

BeautyFiend 27-05-2009 12:59 PM

^
Same happened with my daddio.
Without someone's generosity he wouldn't be here.

Bleeding Angel 27-05-2009 01:06 PM

i would like too, but i cant because of the year rule for percings and tattos

[Purple_Rain] 27-05-2009 01:14 PM

I want to, but im worried my asthma medication means i wont be able to.

Rawrk 27-05-2009 01:17 PM

I will when I'm old enough.
Yay for awesome blood type.

Day Tripper 27-05-2009 01:23 PM

I have. I loved it! They keep calling me asking for my blood now but I just don't have the time. :(

I say do it. Physically I was fine after. I actually felt better after giving blood. It doesn't take long (took me less than five minutes from poke to bandage). It hurts a bit but it's okay once they get the needle in. My veins are deep, actually, so that's probably why it hurt me. :\

Dreaming. 27-05-2009 01:23 PM

It's an awesome experience. You don't really realise what's happening, you just lie there for five or so minutes whilst it's coming out of you, then you get biscuits and tea afterwards!

There's no real reason not to, I don't think (apart from obviously medical reasons)

BeautyFiend 27-05-2009 01:27 PM

This thread just reminded me to book an appointment :)

Always better to book, otherwise you're waiting around for hoooours.

falling-appart 27-05-2009 01:42 PM

You should do it huni . its brilliant a good feeling . It does'nt even hurt !

Tears and Rain 27-05-2009 02:28 PM

Yus I have done and will do so again.
It's a small thing to do to save someone's life.

HazardxToxMyselfx3 27-05-2009 03:55 PM

I've done it 3 times, it's nothing major, and you'll feel really good about yourself afterwards. =]

Dreaming. 27-05-2009 03:59 PM

It just annoys me that you've got to wait for three months! I want to do it now, damnit.
